Big Jacob Botha

This is the big South Africans first year playing football and is dedicated and enthusastic to the core.  Big Jacob took up position in between the sticks and has been called into action several times this year for the reserves.  Jacob is only learning the game and at times has had a few slips in mastering the basics of the game, but with this said the big man has showed some real potential and none less when he put in a Man Of The Match performance against Iveagh in the league this year, saving some shots that he had no right to be even close to with a few wonder saves.  With the right coaching and the continued effort and enthusiasm Jacob has shown this year the big man has all the right tools to potentially become a smashing keeper.

Big Mikey

The big mans been doing his coaching badges and as well as taking the kids he puts the 2nds through the paces before the games on Saturday and training on Wednesday night.  The big man used to be alright but since he got a little bit of power its went to his head and likes nothing more than to run the boys into the ground as well as being referred to as Sir Mikey Morrow.  He's a good lad and its good to have him with the team

Big Craig McCormick

The big man was a key figure in the Duns defence last year and was a big part of the reason why they had so much success in 3E.  Craig likes to wander up the pitch on occasion but its aswell his old mate wardy is there to keep an eye on him and reign him in when needed. Last year was his first season at the Duns and personally I think the big man should be playing his football higher up the leagues but im not going to tell him that too much.  We're glad to have him back after a brief flirtation with Sirocco Works and debuts back this week against Albion Star.  Good to have you back mate and hope you have another season like the last.

Chris Ward 

Glad to see ive got my young bro up this year which im sure will prove to be a great signing for us.  Chris is a talented forward who won everything as a kid, as well as being part of the 2000 milk cup squad for County Down he was a favourit at the Oval for 3 years from the ages of 15-18 playing regular reserve team football which seen him collect trolley loads of trophies from Player of the Year to Top Goal Scorer on a regular occurance. 

With a few teams from across the water interested in taking the the young Striker across for trials Chris decided he'd had enough of football and gave it all up, to this day im still not sure why though.  Hes made a couple of half hearted attempts to get back into it but if I can get his fat arse back into shape and get him playing anything like his old self then the Duns will have added a great addition to the squad this year.
